Vaughn is a native Nebraskan and lifelong entrepreneur who was born in Grand Island and grew up on a cattle ranch outside Broken Bow where he learned the value of self-reliance and hard work. He graduated from Broken Bow high school and went on to study at the University of Nebraska. After completing his studies there he joined the Nebraska National Guard and served Nebraska and our nation for six years, including four as an Officer. He started his first company – Wiebusch Trucking – in 1965 and along the way found time to marry his wife of now nearly 49 years, Donna LeAnn Daily of Anselmo, and start a family. Vaughn and Donna ran Wiebusch Trucking together for 25 years and built it from a single truck operator to a fleet of 125 trucks and 150 employees.
After leaving the trucking business Vaughn worked briefly as a realtor in Colorado before returning to Nebraska with his wife and family to open a Country Kitchen restaurant in Norfolk. Vaughn and Donna ran the restaurant successfully for over 16 years and it was truly a family affair. Their two youngest children helped out in the restaurant and virtually grew up there before graduating Norfolk High School and leaving for college and military service. Their two oldest children had already moved on to lives and careers in Colorado and Kansas and so the family was spread out for a time. But gradually all of their children began to return to Nebraska and settle in the Omaha area and so in 2009 Vaughn and Donna sold the restaurant and moved there as well. Vaughn obtained his Nebraska realtors license in the same year and has been dedicated to helping families achieve the dream of home ownership ever since. On top of his business ventures, Vaughn has always been an active member of his community. He was a member of Rotary International and has held leadership positions in several of its local chapters. He is a “Paul Harris Fellow”. He has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations and is a member of the Nebraska Admirals Association, which promotes tourism and business within Nebraska. He has worked to extend the benefit of his business experience to the next generation through business mentorship programs such as SCORE. He has served as a deacon in his church and a mentor in the Tom Osborn Teammates program.
Through it all, Vaughn and Donna’s proudest achievements have been those of their children, who now all live in Omaha. Robert is a successful business executive with a local election services corporation and a loving father to two of Vaughn’s grandchildren, Carter and Corinna Jane. Barb is a dietician at a local hospital with her MS in nutrition, and is the mother of Vaughn’s other two grandchildren, Seth and Katie. Georgia is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps and a successful business executive in her own right, with extensive private sector and non-profit experience. And last but not least, his daughter Anna recently received her own realtor’s license and now joins Vaughn as a partner in his latest business venture.
Vaughn understands the value of home and family and he looks forward to helping you and yours find the house of your dreams.
Anna Lemieux (Wiebusch)
Anna began her career in real estate after more than twenty years of finding and implementing solutions for others in a variety of corporate and public organizations. Whether she was working as the International Sales Coordinator for a major medical equipment provider or as the executive assistant and office manager for the senior leadership of one of Omaha’s most venerable and respected companies, Anna focused on bringing order to chaos and making complex processes flow smoothly in order to lighten the load and help people make the best decisions they possibly could.
Anna only moved to Omaha a few short years ago but she immediately fell in love with its neighborhoods and its people. Now, as a realtor, she is excited to bring together her ability to make hard things seem easy with her enthusiasm for her community and her passion for people. When you meet Anna for the first time you’ll start to understand the difference that a positive outlook and a commitment to your experience can make, whether you’re buying a new home, selling an old one, or just considering your options.
